Seems like all my life I've been able to eat anything I wanted without thinking much about it...and never really gaining any weight. Even after having four children I was always able to reclaim my body. Well, soon after entering my 40's I began to notice I wasn't quite as slim and trim as I used to be. I failed over the next few years at keeping off the excess weight and finally came to a place where I realized I needed that extra push and some accountability. I only had about 15 or so pounds of excess weight but it was a big deal for me. I think everybody has their own personal limit...and I had reached mine.
Some things I'm learning since Coach Bekah and the team at Grace and Strength Lifestyle have come alongside me...
I'm learning that I can't continue to eat anything I want to anymore without gaining weight. It worked out fine when I was younger, but my body/metabolism/activity level is different now. I'm learning how to prepare foods in such a way that they are most beneficial for a healthy body and taste good as well. I'm learning to think twice about the food I eat. Is it beneficial or will it set me back from what my personal goals are? I feel like I've been given a fresh start and now it's my responsibility to make good choices, and I have a great group of gals to continue on with my journey.
