Do relationships sabotage your weight loss efforts? In our lives, we have many relationships. We have relationships with our husbands, wives, siblings, children, friends, our bosses and with FOOD!
As The Relationship Goes, So Goes The Diet...
I have found that depending on how our relationships are going; so go our weight loss efforts. If our relationships are going well and we are happy…we are more apt to be focused on our weight loss efforts.
If our relationships are stressful and not going very well, we have to be careful that our weight loss efforts doesn't become sabotaged.

Practical Techniques That Work
I try to use certain techniques now in order to stay focused and on course. Remembering to put God first, I pray and ask Him for strength to endure through to my victory.
I think about how I am feeling and why. I ask myself are you eating because you are hungry or is something eating you? I set my timer for 10 minutes and try to put my focus on the techniques I've experienced success with.
I start reading a magazine or a book. I brush my teeth. I begin journaling what is making me feel bad, angry, down or stressed. I think about what I have written and ask God for wisdom and guidance. Our most important relationship is our relationship with God.

Relationships Will Always Be a Part Of Life
Relationships are inevitable in our lives, but we must be in control. We must think about all of our relationships and make the decision to place ourselves around those who build us up and celebrate us.
So can relationships wreck our diet? The choice is really our own. We must decide are these relationships good or bad for us? Do they celebrate our successes? Do they support all of our efforts? Do they make us feel happy and complete? Do they give us respect?
On the other hand, do they make you feel bad? Do these relationships put you down? Do they sabotage your weight loss efforts? These are the questions that we must ask?
Relationships that are positive and supportive are good for us. Negative relationships keep us down. When you find negativity around you; you must let it go.
Are you surrounded by positive or negative people? Why?
