I just love this time of year--the leaves turning beautiful colors, the temps dropping, and apples everywhere!!
This recipe for crock pot applesauce is Phase 2 approved, and not only will it taste great but your house will smell amazing!
Ingredients
- 8-10 fresh apples (any variety, you can even mix types!)
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Stevia
- 2-3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
Directions
- Peel, core, and dice apples.
- Combine all ingredients in your crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
Shorter cooking time will make a chunkier sauce.
This will make about 9 servings of 1/3 cup each. Store in your refrigerator for up to one week.
