My journey with Grace and Strength actually began with this passage of Scripture.

God had seen the brokenness of my heart, the fear that had consumed me, and the lies that I had been listening too. He was now providing a way for ultimate healing.

Psalm 34:1-4

I sought the Lord, and he answered me

   and delivered me from all my fears.

Those who look to him are radiant,

   and their faces shall never be ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him

   and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord encamps

   around those who fear him, and delivers them.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!

   Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

God had provided a solution to my problem that was so much deeper then the issue of my weight. He wanted to deliver me from the bondage of my mind. He wanted me to know who I belonged to and that Jesus was my ultimate need, not food, or anything outside of Him!

God's desire for my life was to no longer live in shame, but to free me from this place. He wanted to breathe confidence into the broken places of my life that the enemy had free reign in for far too long.

His longing is for us to see that He is good and for us to go to Him as our source of healing.

May He breath anew into your heart and broken places today~ Taste and see that He alone is good
