As many of you know I'm in training for a Ironman competition in mid 2013. This morning when I woke up at 6am I thought it's dark and cold, knowing I had a 20 mile bike ride on my schedule, today was a great day to say well "Let's think about this." I had some wonderful "Reasons" to skip my work out. Too Cold, Not proper clothing,No gloves,Still Dark, Skipping one day REALLY won't matter, etc. With that many good reasons I could go back to bed? Or, Overcome excuses.
How are you defined? There's nothing more aggravating than being told I can't do something. For the right or wrong of it, those words tend to bring out the rebel child in me and make me strive even harder to accomplish my best, regardless of the final outcome.
So I had an unexpected trip to prepare for, out of the country and for an indefinite amount of time. Oh goodness I thought, I will begin this trip with a 1300 mile road trip to a place where the weather is A LOT cooler, and the dress will be VERY casual... You probably already know how difficult it is to maintain a healthy diet during travel and vacation.
What does a Christian Diet look like? So many people ask me what makes Grace and Strength (a Christian diet) better than any other diet... We are a solid group of believers that no matter what journey or season of life we are in....we are not alone. We strive to lean on the Lord and the WORD in all aspects of our lives. Except when it comes to food and weight. So many people feel the shame of being over weight as their own problem...we really need to give those worries to God.
It's definitely Monday, so you might not FEEL like smiling. But did you know that FORCING yourself to smile can actually make you feel better? The expression on your face is affected BY your mood . . . but it also directly AFFECTS your mood.--In other words, if you force yourself to frown all day, you're more likely to be miserable. And if you force yourself to smile, you're more likely to enjoy yourself . . . even at work.
